Position Overview: We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer specializing in Machine Learning to assist in the development of a comprehensive platform aimed at enhancing ML experiments, deploying ML microservices, and managing the configuration of ML models.
Team Collaboration: As a member of the Machine Learning Product Engineering team at Right Hand Senior Care, you will work collaboratively across various departments to deliver ML solutions that enhance the learning experiences for our users and support educators in crafting distinctive course materials.
Impactful Contributions: The scalable ML systems you design will empower our product designers to integrate intelligent data solutions into the Right Hand Senior Care platform.
Role Responsibilities: The Lead Platform Engineer – Machine Learning is a pivotal individual contributor role that involves mentoring team members, driving key project execution, and engaging in the ongoing enhancement of our software systems.
Key Duties:
- Design, develop, and sustain a robust platform for the training, deployment, and monitoring of ML models, microservices, and APIs within contemporary containerized cloud environments.
- Automate various stages of the ML workflow, encompassing model training, inference, and deployment.
- Create prototypes and web applications to swiftly test different versions of ML algorithms and deep neural network architectures for optimized content recommendations.
- Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, and product engineering teams to identify business requirements, devise appropriate solutions, and deliver products.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with 2-3 years focused on Machine Learning products or infrastructure.
- 2-3 years of experience in writing production-level Python code.
- Proficient understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and microservice architectures utilizing Docker.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar orchestration and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with a range of machine learning algorithms (both supervised and unsupervised) and/or prior experience collaborating with ML teams.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
