The role is primarily based in a butcher shop, where you will engage with a variety of meat products.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare meats for processing by cleaning and organizing.
- Efficiently cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to ensure optimal yield.
- Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer specifications.
- Wrap and package meats for sale, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Remove bones from meat cuts as necessary.
- Portion poultry into various cuts for retail display.
- Grind meats for specialty products.
- Handle special orders from customers with precision.
Experience with manual cutting tools is essential for this role.
Work Conditions- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Job requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Dependable and reliable team player.
No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 30 to 44 hours per week, primarily in English.
