Manufacturing Production Specialist (Food Processing)
  • Facilitate the movement of raw materials from storage to the production area for processing.
  • Accurately measure and add raw ingredients into machinery for mixing and blending.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that product quality and specifications align with JBS Food Canada’s safety and quality standards.
  • Organize and prepare finished products for packaging, including wrapping and labeling.
  • Work in conjunction with Quality Control to meet customer specifications regarding presentation, packaging, and pricing.
  • Monitor critical control points and proactively communicate any issues to the Supervisor that may affect food safety and quality.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of production machinery to fulfill daily responsibilities.
  • Prepare finished goods for transport by packing onto pallets.
  • Be familiar with emergency shutdown protocols and identify all emergency switches on processing equipment.
  • Observe and adjust processing machinery as needed, reporting any mechanical issues to the team leader or supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment and work areas on a daily basis.
  • Apply food safety principles in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), recognizing that quality is a collective responsibility and embodying this understanding through actions and communication.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is mandatory.
  • Experience of 1 to 7 months in a physically demanding role, preferably in the food processing sector.
  • Familiarity with production machinery is advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn safe and effective task execution.
  • Ability to comprehend and implement safe work practices.
  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Driven by core values of responsibility, accountability, and perseverance.
  • Basic proficiency in English is required.
  • Capability to lift weights up to 23 KG.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Tasks may involve repetition, handling heavy loads, and physical exertion. Candidates should possess manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. The role requires standing for extended periods, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling. Work may occur in cold or refrigerated settings.

Compensation and Benefits:
