Opportunity to Contribute to a Premier Event Venue

BC Place Stadium is in search of a skilled Finance Manager to oversee financial operations on a contractual basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the daily functions of the finance department, performing financial assessments, and offering strategic insights to enhance the venue's performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise finance department activities including accounts receivable, collections, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Facilitate financial settlements for major events involving international clientele
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial documentation
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations and optimize processes
  • Lead annual audit processes and foster relationships with external stakeholders
  • Provide analytical support to management teams
  • Engage in forecasting and budgeting tasks
  • Coordinate monthly reporting and analyze variances
  • Adapt to changing financial processes and assist with new initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Preferred CPA designation or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in event-driven settings
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and GAAP
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the event management, entertainment, or hospitality sectors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial management software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Compensation: $77,488 - $96,860
