About Us: Mariposa Gardens Community & Retirement Living is a vibrant community located in Osoyoos, British Columbia, offering a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city amenities.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team, providing exceptional experiences for our residents through engaging activities and programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and revise departmental procedures and programs under the guidance of the Team Leader.
  • Set up activity areas and assist with transporting residents to and from programs, as needed.
  • Monitor residents' interests, needs, and progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Promote social interaction among residents through leadership of assigned activities and special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate in recreation/leisure studies or equivalent.
  • Experience working with seniors, including understanding of motivation concepts.
  • Understanding of leisure principles and computer proficiency.
  • Valid driver's license (Class F or provincial equivalent, if required).
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Records Check.
