Our Drilling Services teams are recognized as industry leaders in rotary, core, sonic, and percussive drilling applications. Our global teams of drillers are experienced, knowledgeable, safety-oriented, and committed to excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities:
Below is a general outline of the duties and responsibilities, which may be modified by your supervisor as necessary. Safety is our utmost priority, and you are expected to halt work immediately if you perceive any unsafe conditions and report them to your supervisor:
Adhere to all established safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements at all times. Execute all duties safely, ensuring the well-being of both equipment and colleagues. Maintain the condition of all site equipment and tools to maximize their lifespan. Potentially train new drilling assistants in a safe and supportive environment. Maintain physical fitness for work-related tasks. Follow instructions from a driller or drilling field supervisor, with varying levels of guidance based on competency. Uphold safety standards and follow Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. Possess the ability to administer first aid when necessary. Assist in drilling operations: manage rods and tools, collect samples, prepare drilling fluids, perform basic maintenance, maintain cleanliness, conduct inventory counts, and complete pre-start checks. May operate non-drilling machinery such as vehicles, cranes, and forklifts. Ensure a safe working environment by applying risk management processes to prevent injuries and equipment damage. Keep accurate records of operations, including daily drill reports and inventory logs. Foster effective workplace relationships. Provide training and mentorship to other field personnel through instruction and demonstration of skills.Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid First Aid Certification. Adequate language, literacy, and numeracy skills to perform job-related tasks. Previous labor experience is considered an asset. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with various drilling environments and techniques is preferred. Candidates must meet the standards of the Fitness for Duty program.
