About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious General Labourer to join our team at McAsphalt, a leading asphalt products and services company in Canada. As a General Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors, including equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of equipment and materials at job sites.
  • Participate in safety inspections and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles and mobile equipment, requiring a valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clear abstract.
  • Perform routine monitoring of equipment and facilities, including security checks and bulk liquid terminal inspections.
  • Assist team members with general support and clean-up of the site, plant, and work areas.
  • Participate in training programs and complete all required certifications, including CCOHS training.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial settings and awareness of process hazards.
  • Ability to work under a comprehensive safety program and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy loads.
