Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Technology team at Rogers Communications. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our business by analyzing and improving our technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the assessment of business needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Assist in the design of technology solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives, status, and issues.
  • Document and present findings and recommendations to management.
  • Work with various business and delivery teams to ensure good, solid, well-written requirements that allow IT delivery teams to create solutions that align to the requirements.
  • Aid in the testing process by reviewing and validating test cases, participating in testing support activities, and documenting test results.
  • Help business stakeholders prioritize and manage changing requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design high-level system architectures that meet business needs.
  • Communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the design and implementation of business solutions to multiple development teams.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze the viability of the solution to meet delivery timelines and quality.
Requirements:
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
  • Leading-edge technical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB, SQL Server, and Azure cloud technologies.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), and integration methods.
  • In-depth understanding of business processes, industry trends, and the ability to align technology solutions with long-term business goals.
