Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pizza Department Manager to join our team at Fortinos. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the effective operation of the Pane Fresco Pizza & Bread Department, maximizing sales and gross profit, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective ordering, production, and merchandising of all pizza and bread products to maintain and increase sales.
  • Plan daily production sheets to ensure variety in pizza and bread products and effectively prioritize and organize all production and department functions.
  • Control inventory through pricing and signage of pizza and bread products to achieve company goals and budget.
  • Schedule, direct, supervise, and discipline department staff and train all new employees.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy.
  • Ensure compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations, and audits.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified scratch baker, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
