The Senior Manager of Analytics will spearhead a dedicated team of analytics experts at Momentum Financial Services Group_new, utilizing data-driven insights and reporting to identify business opportunities and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). As an active leader, you will apply your extensive background in business analytics to cultivate an internal analytics consultancy that addresses various enterprise challenges.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with cross-functional business partners to deliver analytic and consulting expertise.
- Assemble and guide a team focused on resolving business challenges across diverse financial service sectors, including loan origination, customer management, finance, fraud detection, collections, operations, and marketing.
- Create and deploy dashboards, reports, and alerts to highlight business trends and insights.
- Establish a learning agenda and conduct experiments with business partners to enhance operational processes.
- Assess and integrate innovative tools, methodologies, and data sources to reveal business value.
- Effectively communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning within the team and among business partners.
- Provide mentorship, management, and motivation to a highly skilled team of analytics professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Physics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Master's degree preferred; additional 5+ years of relevant experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years in applied analytics, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with various financial service functions and their corresponding KPIs.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
SKILLS
- Proficient in SQL; experience with Python, SAS, R, or other analytic programming languages is essential.
- Expertise in creating and delivering dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, etc.
- Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, and business analytics.
- Ability to articulate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to coach and inspire a highly educated analytics team.
