Job Summary:

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Journeyman Mechanic to join our Service Division in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and log readings to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Complete work orders and field quotations to meet customer needs.
  • Install and assemble refrigeration components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repair.
  • Handle refrigerants safely to prevent environmental damage and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Complete safety documentation to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid G1 or G2 Certification to operate company vehicles.
  • Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate (ODP) to handle refrigerants safely.
  • 'G' Driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Membership with local 787 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning UA to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
