Job Title: Elementary Contract Teacher

We are seeking a qualified Elementary Contract Teacher to join our team at the Grand Erie District School Board. As a Contract Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching elementary students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach elementary students in a classroom setting, following the Ontario curriculum and Ministry of Education regulations.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver effective instruction.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success.
Qualifications:
  • Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification.
  • Qualified to teach in a minimum of two of the following divisions: Primary, Junior, or Intermediate.
  • French-as-a-second language Part 1 minimum or equivalent required.

  2. Current qualified Grand Erie elementary occasional teachers and external qualified applicants to the Board.

We offer a competitive benefits plan and a rate of pay between $56,108 and $117,096 annually (based on 1.0 FTE).
