About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Nor-Lab Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, ensuring the efficient preparation and presentation of food, and supporting our culinary team in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Handle and store cleaning products in a responsible and safe manner.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized waste management system.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and prepare them for cooking and presentation.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, and ensure that all inventory is properly managed and tracked.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure the efficient preparation and presentation of food, and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the culinary team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects, and to stand for long periods of time.
  • Availability to work 35-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
