About the Role

The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Assist in planning and implementing daily activities, including arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play.
  • Monitor and record children's progress, identifying areas of strength and need.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes social-emotional learning and character development.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a childcare or recreational setting.
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
