Job Title: Junior Development Manager

Job Summary:

The Volunteer Centre of Calgary is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in executing national-scale fundraisers and establishing collaborations with other organizations to support the Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of national-scale fundraisers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other organizations to secure funding and support
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of grant applications and sponsorship proposals
  • Provide administrative support to the development team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in finance, grant applications, fundraising, or sponsorship seeking is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in graphic design, project planning, letter writing, and community interaction
