Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary team at Edgewood Health Network Inc. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to individuals with mental health and addiction-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide treatment management, guidance, and prescribe medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer medications to clients and maintain accurate progress records.
  • Provide supportive counseling to clients, families, and significant others on recovery issues.
  • Maintain a therapeutic environment on the unit conducive to client learning and growth.
  • Provide ongoing health teaching to clients on common health problems and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Coordinate individual client appointments and referrals.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and provide information on addiction services.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses with pharmacological training.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse registered in the Province of Saskatchewan.
  • Current basic CPR certification.
  • Recent clinical experience, including medication administration and leadership duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Leadership/Charge experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated use of proper body mechanics and ability to perform heavy lifting.
  • Knowledge of/experience with a team-based person-centered care approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
