In this role, you will be responsible for:
Contract Development:
- Identifying, negotiating, and finalizing subcontracts for technical services in the Marine and Aviation sectors.
- Collaborating with project leads to create comprehensive work packages and statements of work.
- Evaluating supplier proposals and employing selection techniques to determine the best value and mitigate risks.
- Ensuring that all subcontracts align with organizational policies and safety regulations.
- Coordinating with compliance teams to guarantee adherence to relevant regulations.
Contract Oversight:
- Managing day-to-day subcontract activities, including amendments and dispute resolution.
- Conducting meetings with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Working closely with project teams to monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to schedules.
- Implementing continuous improvement strategies to resolve subcontractor challenges.
- Monitoring supplier performance against cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Facilitating cost-saving negotiations to enhance value for stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships to foster performance improvements.
- Overseeing the timely processing of supplier invoices.
- Reporting on program milestones related to cost, schedule, and quality.
- Engaging in supplier relationship management activities.
- Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 4-8 years of experience in a complex engineering environment.
- A degree in Commerce, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of commercial practices and experience with third-party suppliers.
- Expertise in sourcing and negotiating subcontracts for technical services.
- Project management skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Technical or trades experience is a plus.
- Preferred experience in Marine, Aviation, or Defense sectors.
- Relevant certifications are an asset.
- Eligibility for security clearance is required.
