Job Title: Framer Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Framer Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for building and installing structures, including framing, installing windows and doors, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
