Position Overview: At Oxford Learning Centres, Inc., we are looking for part-time education coaches to join our team. In this role, you will work with elementary students to enhance their skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and French. Our structured approach means you won’t need to create lesson plans; instead, you will focus on delivering our pre-designed lessons while receiving comprehensive training in our educational methodologies.
Position Requirements:
- Availability during after-school hours, specifically from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
- Commitment through the academic year, with potential for summer opportunities.
- In-person instruction is required.
- Must be able to commute to the designated learning center.
- Completion of a mandatory vulnerable sector screening.
Education:
- Some post-secondary education is preferred.
Experience:
- Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Ability to teach French is highly desirable.
- Capable of managing multiple students simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Education Coach, your duties will include:
- Instructing up to three students at a time.
- Adhering to the educational philosophies and methods of Oxford Learning.
- Providing regular updates on student progress and maintaining communication with parents.
- Creating a welcoming and professional learning environment.
