About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team at Diesel Pro Tunes Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diesel equipment and providing exceptional support to our technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Technicians: Provide support to our experienced technicians in the maintenance and repair of diesel equipment, including moving tools and equipment, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas, and assist in the repair of diesel equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced urban area environment, exposed to noisy and dusty conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Workload: Manage a large workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Weight Handling: Lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of equipment and tools.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but prior experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
