About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Midas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality services to our customers, including inspection, diagnosis, and repair of their vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostics and Repair: Utilize state-of-the-art computer systems to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including tires, brakes, suspension, and engine problems.
  • Tire and Wheel Services: Perform tire rotations, balancing, and repairs, as well as wheel alignments and replacements.
  • Brake and Suspension Services: Inspect and repair brake systems, including pads, rotors, and calipers, as well as suspension components and steering systems.
  • Engine and Cooling Services: Diagnose and repair engine problems, including oil leaks, coolant leaks, and engine overheating issues.
  • Electrical and Electronics Services: Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including batteries, starters, and alternators.
  • Visual Safety and Courtesy Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential safety issues and provide recommendations for repairs.

Qualifications

  • Experience and Certifications: Possess a valid and current Certificate of Qualification in the province of Ontario, as well as experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in the use of shop equipment, including lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a flexible and positive attitude.
