Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and patrons, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Security Patrols: Conduct proactive patrols to ensure the safety and security of our commercial properties, including identifying and addressing potential security risks and threats.
  • Emergency Response: Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner, including liaising with emergency personnel and providing support as needed.
  • Crisis Management: De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel, including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
  • Crowd Control: Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Reporting: Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability, and day-to-day reports, to ensure accurate documentation and communication of security incidents.
  • First Aid: Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s), including utilizing first aid kits and equipment as needed.
  • Communication: Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities and ensure effective communication with colleagues and management.
  • Lost and Found: Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries, including maintaining accurate records and communicating with clients and patrons as needed.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
  • Availability: Full-time availability is required, including working varied shifts and being on-call as needed.
  • Security Experience: Security experience is an asset, but not required. We provide comprehensive training to ensure our Security Officers are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
