We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nutrition Specialist to enhance the well-being of our clients.

This permanent role involves working 4 days a week within the clinical nutrition department, focusing on residential care settings.

The primary duty of this position is to ensure that clients' dietary requirements are effectively addressed by evaluating their nutritional status and challenges, followed by the creation, coordination, and execution of a personalized nutrition care strategy with measurable outcomes. This role also includes developing resources to assist residents and their families in understanding the dietary needs associated with specific health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing residents' nutritional challenges through clinical evaluations and analysis of their dietary habits, energy requirements, medical diagnoses, and medication regimens;
  • Creating tailored intervention plans based on individual resident needs;
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the intervention plans, offering nutritional guidance as needed, and documenting all interventions in residents' health records;
  • Collaborating as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, engaging in clinical discussions, and serving as a knowledgeable resource;
  • Designing educational materials customized to the needs of clients;
  • Staying informed about advancements in nutrition for clients with limited autonomy;
  • Ensuring adherence to regulations and standards governing safe care and service delivery, as well as professional guidelines;
  • Carrying out additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition;
  • Membership in the Professional Order of Dietitians of Quebec;
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
