About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team at Holcim's Exshaw cement plant. As a Millwright Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of various industrial equipment and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on large industrial equipment, including rotary cement kilns, ball mills, and vertical roller mills.
- Service and repair gearboxes, clutches, pumps, and vibrating screens.
- Operate and maintain mobile equipment, such as forklifts, rough terrain forklifts, and mobile elevated work platforms.
- Use hand and power tools, including hydraulic wrenches, hydraulic jacks, and hoisting and rigging equipment.
- Work with computer systems, including Maximo maintenance software.
Requirements:
- Alberta certified Journeyman Millwright or Inter-provincial Red Seal certification.
- Experience working with large industrial equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Environment:
The working environment is indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as extreme heat and dust in certain areas of the plant. You may be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in rail yard repairs.
