We are seeking a highly skilled Client Service Representative to join our team at BFL CANADA Risk and Insurance. As a Client Service Representative, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a profitable book of business based on the company's objectives and individual business plans.
Key Responsibilities- Client Service: Request and follow up with insurers and/or clients for outstanding information, endorsements, or policy documentation.
- Proposal Development: Prepare proposals for renewals and new business.
- Communication: Respond to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters.
- Negotiation: Work with Client Executives and Client Service Managers in negotiating with Insurers and/or changes, renewals, and new business where applicable.
- Policy Review: Review policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness, and as required, note and correct errors.
- Abeyance and Follow-up: Create abeyance and follow up for outstanding items from underwriters, markets, and clients.
- Business Development: Market own new business and renewals when necessary.
- Receivables Management: Monitor and follow up on outstanding client's receivables.
- Process Improvement: Create and streamline processes.
- Reporting: Responsible for monthly reporting, where required.
- Invoice and Receivables Management: Invoice and manage receivables.
- Special Projects: Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years industry-related experience.
- Professional Designation: Professional designation required (RIBO).
- Market Knowledge: Good knowledge of markets and their policy wordings.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well independently, as part of a team.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- System Knowledge: Good knowledge of Intact Broker Portal and EPIC is an asset.
- Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Customer Focus: Customer-focused and service-oriented.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail.
