Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

YMCA of Greater Vancouver is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA Highland Family Development Centre.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing quality care and creative programming for children, establishing positive daily communications with families, and assisting in the planning and implementation of a consistent child-centred program.

Responsibilities:
  • Interact directly with children, providing quality care and creative programming.
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communications and interactions with families.
  • Assist in planning and implementing a consistent child-centred program.
  • Work with staff team to deliver a high-quality and age-appropriate program based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.
Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a childcare/recreational setting.
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain and Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
