Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at The Sherwin-Williams Company. As a Store Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of store appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous interactions.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build productive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and improve customer loyalty.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, while maintaining a high level of store appearance.
  • Perform various tasks, including stocking shelves, setting up displays, and cleaning store equipment.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, as needed, and assist in making deliveries.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered, discussing available options with customers and suggesting ways to improve sales.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal.
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
