Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Painter to join our team. As a Painter with Handyman Connection, you will be responsible for preparing and applying exterior and interior finishes in a residential and light commercial setting. If you have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary.
- Paint Mixing and Application: Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings to achieve the desired colour, consistency, and drying properties. Caulks, putties, cement or plasters holes and cracks.
- Painting and Finishing: Paint using a brush, roller, spray gun or another applicator. Prepare wall and hang paper or other wall covering material.
- Material Selection and Estimation: Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
- Customer Communication: Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues and present a description of a work order to a customer.
- Driver's License and Insurance: Must have a current Driver's License and Insurance.
- Tools and Vehicle: Must have tools, work vehicle and good references.
- Experience and Qualifications: Must have experience in the remodelling or home repair trades. Independent Contractors must carry liability insurance and workers comp.
- Screening Process: Must pass screening process which includes a background check.
- Technology Requirements: Must have a smartphone and access to the internet.
- Competitive Hourly Rate: Earn $40-45/hour or up to $1,900/week, depending on your skills and availability.
