Job Title: Retail Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team at 127 ST. LIQUOR. As a Retail Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices with suppliers, and maintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  • Arrange products according to planograms to ensure optimal display and sales.
  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, and credit terms.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and sales data to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to outlets and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, considering factors such as quality, price, and market demand.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay informed about new products and trends.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The Retail Buyer will work in a retail business environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
