About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Core Systems team at eero, an Amazon Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, scaling, and developing distributed systems critical to our operations, developing data services that handle fleet analytics and business metrics, and creating reusable tools and components that enable the rest of the organization to build scalable, secure, and reliable software.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop software libraries, patterns, and services that enable engineers to be secure by default
  2. Improve monitoring to detect anomalous behavior and ensure system reliability
  3. Conduct threat analysis on system designs and advise project teams on security requirements
  4. Create tools to perform security checks and alerting early in the development process
  5. Participate in incident response and contribute to the development of secure software practices
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  2. 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  3. 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
  4. Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
