About the Role:

The Pharmacy Technician I plays a vital role in the effective daily operation of the pharmacy department, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and distributing pharmaceutical products, including medication preparation, compounding, and repackaging.
  • Receiving and triaging medication orders, and preparing sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Providing clinical support through medication reconciliation activities, and assisting with the training and orientation of staff and students.
  • Maintaining a high standard of performance through completion of internal validation programs, and participating in special projects and programs as assigned.
