About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Analyst to join our team at Acuity Technology Solutions Inc. As a key member of our data management team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Collection and Analysis

You will collect data to identify areas for improvement within our organization's IT infrastructure, and develop strategic blueprints for deploying databases.

Database Development and Maintenance

You will design and develop databases, and maintain existing ones to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Documentation and Communication

You will document customers' requirements for projects, and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding database management tools.

IT Infrastructure Setup

You will setup the IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases, and test data models and database management systems.

Requirements
  • Education

A college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

Proficiency in database software, data analysis software, and other relevant tools.

Work Setting

Computer hardware or software retailer/wholesaler, telecommunications industry, software company, information technology (IT) service provider, or private sector.
