We're seeking an experienced Intermediate Front-End Engineer to join our team at Engine Digital. As a key member of our Engineering group, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional digital products and brand experiences that drive growth for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Strategy and Design team to plan and develop web and mobile sites, digital products, and design systems.
  • Implement highly functional and high-performance interfaces and modular layouts, blending best practices with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in UI development.
  • Support the planning, development, testing, and delivery/deployment of solid, structured, and standards-compliant web and mobile interfaces.
  • Participate in project ideation sessions, workshops, and roadmapping, driving innovation from a development perspective.
  • Work with the project team to validate goals and requirements, and provide input towards practical solutions, innovations, and estimation of effort and time.
  • Write, test, refactor, and optimize code to achieve high benchmarks for performance, and prioritize quality assurance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience prototyping and building web and mobile experiences.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating ability to develop against detailed design specifications.
  • Experience working in agile teams, participating in scoping, estimating, and road-mapping of development efforts.
  • Proficiency with dev tools like Git, Tailwind, Webpack/Vite, Figma, Netlify/Vercel.
  • Experience with CSS and JavaScript (ES6, Typescript, ReactJS), and building extensible and modular design systems.
  • Experience implementing traditional and headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful, Craft) with front-end meta frameworks.
  • Experience implementing e-commerce platforms including Shopify and BigCommerce.
  • Experience building to usability and accessibility standards through testing and optimization.
  • Experience with web performance and optimization techniques, and implementing analytics tools, tags, and event tracking from spec.
