Bodywork Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at Fort Richmond Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

• Consultation and Assessment
  • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Assess clients through range of motion and muscle tests to identify areas of concern.
• Treatment and Therapy
  • Administer various massage techniques, including soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilizations.
  • Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body to promote relaxation and relief.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments provided to clients.
• Client Education and Support
  • Explain treatment procedures, risks, and benefits to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Provide clients with home care instructions and information on techniques to promote ongoing wellness.
• Professional Development
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Education
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
• Experience
  • 1-6 months of experience in a related field.
• Certifications and Memberships
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
