Heavy Equipment Instructor

Job Summary:
Northern Lakes College is seeking a qualified Instructor to teach in our Heavy Equipment Technician Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the Heavy Equipment Technician trade and experience teaching or mentoring adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction to students in a classroom and/or lab setting
- Foster and maintain a positive and effective learning environment
- Prepare teaching and learning materials
- Assist in the development of curriculum and other program materials
- Assess and evaluate students
- Record and report student success and attendance
- Assist with industry, government, and community relations
- Supportive of College and department vision and direction
Requirements:
- An Alberta or Red Seal Journeyperson Certificate in the Heavy Equipment Technician trade with a minimum of 3 years' experience
- Experience teaching or mentoring adults
- A valid class 5 driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adult Education Certificate, Diploma, or B.Ed.
