Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Sudbury Retirement Manor. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our resident rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities
  • Room Maintenance: Ensure that all resident rooms are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with linens and amenities.
  • Common Area Cleaning: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of common areas, including hallways, lounges, and dining areas.
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Wash, dry, and fold laundry, and manage linen supplies to ensure that all resident rooms have a sufficient stock of clean linens.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items to residents and management.
  • Guest Services: Provide excellent customer service to residents and their guests, responding to requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Facilities Management: Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, including picking up debris and emptying trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and to stand for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
