Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at 2046361 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques to improve overall team performance.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a truck driver.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 35-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work term is permanent.
