Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Royal King Drywall Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and prepare preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Project cash flow and financing requirements
  • Develop and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Establish and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
Work Environment

This is a permanent, on-the-road position with a 30-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
