We are seeking a part-time Mathematics Educator to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. in Dollard des Ormeaux, QC.

About the Role

This position involves working directly with students as an Interactive Coach, teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels. You will be responsible for following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies, filling in post-lesson notes, and completing daily student communication updates.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching math and science to high school students
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • CEGEP or Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current sec 1-5 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus, and Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 7 to 11 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
