About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at DATOS SUPPORT CONSULTING INC. as a key member of our IT department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Administration: Coordinate access and use of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
  • System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, maintain, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine network start-up and close-down, maintain control records, and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Technical Support: Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers, providing timely and effective technical support.
  • Web-Server Management: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and system availability.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise technical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of IT services.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in network administration, system maintenance, and technical support.
  • Skills: Development and operations (DevOps), networking software, networking hardware, file management software, information technology, database software, programming languages, software development, MS Windows, firewall.
