Job Summary

B2B Freightways Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics: Load and unload goods, perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, utilizing communication systems such as Citizens band (CB) radio, GPS, and trip recorders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trans-border documentation.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Willing to train and have a strong background in long-haul transportation.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate attention to detail, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Work Environment

As a Long Haul Truck Driver with B2B Freightways Inc., you will be working on the road, with a permanent work term and a work language of English. The work schedule will be 50 to 60 hours per week.
