Key Responsibilities
  • Provide traffic control and vehicle access control
  • Conduct regular foot patrols
  • Monitor CCTV cameras
  • Attend incidents, de-escalate situations, write detailed reports, and communicate any issues to Supervisor, Manager, and client as required
  • Interact with clients and the general public, providing excellent customer service
  • Administrative tasks, including maintaining the site schedule, arranging training for site Officers, auditing equipment inventory, etc.
  • Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner

Requirements
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Minimum one year of work experience in the security industry
  • Class 5 BC Drivers License and reliable personal vehicle to commute to the site as transit is not available at the shift's start time
  • Excellent communication, customer service, professionalism, and observation skills
  • Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, bodily fluids, etc.
  • A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
  • Proficiency with access control, fire systems, CCTV, and other security-related systems
  • Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift, including indoors, outdoors, in all weather conditions, up and down stairwells, and over uneven surfaces, and parking lots
