Inspector Level A1P (Nuclear Industry)

We are seeking a skilled Inspector Level A1P (Nuclear Industry) to join our production team at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada's success and in ensuring we meet our customers' quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

Primary Function:

To perform all tasks of a NDE Inspector A1P and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports, maintain, and file documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines/regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
Requirements:
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess MT CGSB-2 or PT CGSB-2 plus one of the following:
    • CEDO
    • UT CGSB-1
    • RT CGSB-1
    • 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.
    • 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.
    • Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in the nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Availability to work any of the following shifts:
    • Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm (Mon – Thurs)
    • Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs)
