Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the improvement of our operating environments. You will bring your experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive our organization forward to a new level of capability and operational maturity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Streamline IT Infrastructure: You will be responsible for managing, debugging, and streamlining our IT infrastructure related to hosting, deployment, and development.
  • Ensure Security Best-Practices: You will ensure that security best-practices are applied in procedures and all stages of the development process.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: You will work closely with stakeholders to orchestrate the creation of flexible, secure, and scalable solutions.
  • Build Automation Processes: You will build automation processes and contribute to the development of internal tools to achieve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps: You will have an understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, and Agile principles and the ability to apply them.
  • Education and Experience: You will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a technology/engineering field, and 5+ years of experience using cloud computing platforms and APIs, especially Azure, and 3+ years of DevOps experience, or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: You will have superior written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Background Check and Training: You will be required to undergo a background check and training in privacy regulations.
  • Residency and Work Arrangement: You will reside in Ottawa and be required to have a part-time in-office presence.
  • Team-Oriented and Eager to Learn: You will be team-oriented, eager to learn, reliable, easy to work with, and enthusiastic, passionate, and love learning.
