About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Associate to join our team at 88 Supermarket Ltd. As a Meat Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring that our meat products are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers.
- Support customers in emergency situations and inform management immediately.
- Place merchandise in a way that makes it easily accessible to customers.
- Handle and prepare meat products, including wrapping, packaging, and labeling.
- Stock and maintain the meat display, ensuring that products are rotated and facing forward.
- Process customer meat orders and special requests.
- Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company standards and protocols.
- Participate in the training of junior staff.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
- The ability to multi-task and work independently.
- The ability to move, lift, and carry a minimum of 20-50lbs.
- Availability to work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays, with Sunday availability required.
- The ability to stand and walk around for long periods at a time.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $17.40 and a full-time, permanent position with 35-40 hours of work per week.
