Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management ("CC&L"), an affiliate of the Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, is seeking an Equity Trading Specialist to enhance our Vancouver-based Fundamental Canadian Equity Team.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers throughout the portfolio construction and execution phases. CC&L's Fundamental Equity Team oversees more than $17 billion in fundamental Canadian equity mandates, encompassing both long-only and hedge fund strategies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to and grow with one of Canada's premier investment management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute equity trades utilizing both traditional and electronic methodologies within the Canadian markets.
- Support transaction cost analysis and ensure optimal execution practices.
- Engage in discussions regarding trading strategies and conduct relevant research.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with our Senior Trader and Portfolio Managers.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in equity trading or a related field.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior investment professionals.
- Proven decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with both collaborative and debate-driven communication styles.
- A growth-oriented mindset; ability to learn from setbacks.
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Completion of Level 1 of the CFA is advantageous.
- Willingness to commit to long-term residency in Vancouver.

The base salary range is $90,000 – $200,000 annually, accompanied by a competitive performance bonus. Compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
