The position of a pharmacy technician is vital for the smooth functioning of all pharmacy-related activities. Working alongside the pharmacist-owner, a pharmacy technician's tasks may encompass, but are not limited to, managing inventory, overseeing staff, organizing pharmacy operations, processing prescriptions, managing laboratory activities, and delivering customer service.

As a community pharmacy technician at Accès Pharma, you will engage in all facets of pharmacy operations, including, but not limited to, inventory oversight, technical staff supervision, pharmacy organization, prescription fulfillment, laboratory management, and customer interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritizing pharmacy patients and phone consultations based on established criteria, sound judgment, the situation at hand, and available resources;
  • Following up with patients regarding ongoing or chronic health concerns;
  • Managing drug and product inventory;
  • Recruiting, supervising, and evaluating technical staff;
  • Identifying training needs for technical staff and organizing necessary training sessions;
  • Developing, publishing, and revising work processes while ensuring compliance with various legal, professional, and regulatory standards;
  • Verifying the conformity of prescriptions;
  • Managing renewal requests;
  • Participating in the implementation of customer satisfaction measurement tools and conducting customer service evaluations;
  • Overseeing pharmacy costs and budget management;
  • Managing order preparation;
  • Performing all other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Must be fluent in French, both spoken and written;
  • Must possess a Diploma of College Studies in Pharmacy Technology (or equivalent recognition of prior learning and competencies).

PREFERENCES:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of English or other languages is an asset.
