About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health Care Aide in Mackenzie Place. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, personal care, lifting and transferring, and assisting with health care tasks/procedures as necessary.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to provide personalized support and care.
  • Assist nurses with the provision of routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and health professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.
  • Must be willing and able to float to all three units as staffing needs require, including on short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in seniors' health and/or Palliative Care.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (NVCI).
  • Medication Assistance Program (MAP).
  • Foot care course/experience.
  • Current BLS (CPR) registration.
  • Supportive Pathways Training.
