Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the role of Community Residential Facility Liaison. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Community Residential Facility (CRF) caseload clients, Institutional staff, and Parole Office personnel.
  • Provide individual counselling and assistance to CRF clients under the direction of the Manager.
  • Collaborate with parole officers, CSC staff, and community mental health teams to develop release and intervention plans.
  • Support offenders during their residency and ensure a smooth transition to less restrictive environments.
  • Manage a caseload of 10+ clients, providing regular meetings and maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop and implement Resident Action Plans (RAPs) in conjunction with offenders and supervising Parole Officers.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and update RAPs as necessary.
  • Upload RAPs and reviews to the Offender Management System (OMS) and provide hard copy reports to the Parole Office.
  • Liaise with community parole and case management teams.
  • Maintain and update CRF caseload files as directed by the Manager.
  • Attend and provide weekly case management updates at case management meetings.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in criminology, psychology, or social work.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of The Salvation Army's ARC Philosophy, Standards, and Tenets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification.
