About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team on our Ferries contract at Duke Point and Departure Bay. As a Security Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our passengers and crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of the terminal and onboard vessels to identify and report any safety hazards or security breaches.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our passengers, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Act as a visible deterrent to potential security threats, engaging with the public to provide assistance and direction as needed.
  • Perform unlock/lock-up checks and related security procedures to ensure the secure operation of our vessels.
  • Manage various communication channels, including radio and incident escalations, to ensure effective communication and response to security incidents.
Requirements
  • BC Security License
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable with radio communication and ability to write reports on job-related activities
  • Physically capable of standing and walking for a duration of 8 hours
